1. Information you enter in HabiQuest
HabiQuest is designed as a local-first habit tracker. Habit names, schedules, completion history, streaks, reminders, app preferences and earned in-app rewards are stored on your device to provide the app’s features. The initial app does not require you to create a HabiQuest account and does not use a HabiQuest-operated cloud service to sync these records.
Android device backup settings and the app's backup configuration may affect whether local app data is backed up or restored by your device's operating system.
2. Advertising and information handled by Google
HabiQuest uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to display advertising, which can include banner, native, and optional rewarded ads. Depending on the SDK version, device settings and your choices, Google's advertising technologies may automatically collect or share information such as:
- Device IP address, which may be used to estimate general location.
- Device and advertising identifiers, such as Android advertising ID or app set ID, where available.
- Advertising and app interactions, such as ad views, taps and video interactions.
- Diagnostic information relating to app and advertising performance.
Google may use this information for ad delivery, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention, subject to applicable laws and Google’s policies. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
3. Why information is used
Information stored within HabiQuest is used to show your routines, progress, history, reminders, appearance choices and in-app coin/reward status. Advertising technology is used to support the app with ads and, when you choose, provide rewarded-ad functionality. Third-party advertising information may also be used for performance measurement and security.
4. Notifications and device permissions
If you enable reminders, HabiQuest may request Android notification permission and use scheduling functionality to notify you about habits. You can manage notification permission in Android settings. Any additional permissions used by your installed version of HabiQuest should be described here before publication.
5. Consent and advertising choices
Where legally required, advertising consent and privacy choices are presented in the app. Depending on your region and device, you may also control advertising identifiers or ad personalization through Android or Google settings. If HabiQuest displays a privacy-options or consent screen, use that screen to review or change eligible choices.
6. Sharing and third parties
We do not operate an account server or cloud sync service for the local habit records described above. Google AdMob and its advertising partners may handle the advertising-related information described in Section 2. We do not sell your locally stored habit entries. Relevant third-party policies govern the information independently processed by those providers.
7. Storage, security, retention and deletion
Local habit information remains on your device until you delete it through supported app features, clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app, subject to any Android system backups and user-managed exports. Android provides app storage isolation; however, no storage or transmission technology can guarantee absolute security.
We cannot directly access or erase data stored solely on your device. To remove that local data, use HabiQuest's available deletion controls or Android Settings → Apps → HabiQuest → Storage → Clear storage, as supported by your device. Removing local app data may erase your history and earned in-app rewards. Third-party advertising data is subject to Google's retention and deletion controls.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when HabiQuest’s features, third-party services or legal requirements change. Any revised version will appear at this same URL with an updated effective date.
